The Pinal County Board of Supervisors voted on August 27 to deny the proposed Rio Blanco development southwest of Maricopa after strong opposition from rural residents. The decision blocks plans for a 2,089-lot subdivision, though earlier entitlements for 917 homes on part of the property remain in place.
