The Pinal County Board of Supervisors approved a 1,105-acre industrial development known as Project Ranger north of Florence, paving the way for road construction, rail access, and hundreds of new manufacturing jobs.

The Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of “Project Ranger,” a 1,105-acre manufacturing development south of Florence. The project could revive the long-dormant Magma Arizona Railroad to support both the facility and Resolution Copper’s nearby filter plant.
