The Florence Town Council voted unanimously to annex 200 acres south of Heritage Road into the Skyview Farms master-planned community. The move consolidates the entire 2,465-acre development under town jurisdiction and clears the way for nearly 10,000 homes and mixed-use areas.

The Florence Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of a major amendment expanding the Skyview Farms master-planned community to 2,465 acres with 9,975 proposed homes. The plan adds mixed-use commercial zones, arterial road improvements, parks, and trails pending Town Council approval.

The Florence Town Council held a public hearing on September 16 to consider annexing 200 acres at Heritage and Yeager into the Skyview Farms community. The proposal would transition county zoning to town standards and set the stage for a future Planned Unit Development amendment.
