Apache Junction, AZ— The Apache Junction Police Department (AJPD) is pleased to announce it has received significant funding from the State DUI Abatement Council in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to enhance its law enforcement capabilities and improve public safety initiatives within the community.
The grant awarded to AJPD include:
- $20,000.00 for DUI Enforcement Overtime: This grant supports personnel overtime expenses dedicated to DUI enforcement activities, ensuring heightened vigilance and enforcement during peak times of impaired driving risk.
This grant enables us to strengthen our resources and personnel, allowing for more effective DUI prevention efforts. AJPD is grateful to GOHS for their continued support in our mission to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors.
