CASA GRANDE, AZ — The Casa Grande Fire Department is conducting a fire investigation following a blaze reported Wednesday morning near Via Del Cielo, behind the Denny’s restaurant.

Crews responded to the area early that morning. The cause has not yet been determined. Officials are asking anyone with information about the fire’s origin to call the Casa Grande Fire Marshal’s Office at 520-421-8777, ext. 5989.
Meanwhile, the department reminded residents that setting open outdoor fires to burn trash, debris, or refuse is prohibited within city limits. Additionally, intentionally setting fires is a criminal offense. Those found responsible could face a Class 1 misdemeanor, which carries potential fines and jail time.
